Trail Tour Sunday January 13

January 9, 2013 by stabbert

Where: Chena Lakes Recreation Area Mike Agbaba trails.
(map at http://co.fairbanks.ak.us/parksandrecreation/Forms/CLRA/CLRAWinterGuide-print.pdf) The park manager was not certain if the trail signs were out yet, so print and bring a map to carry with you. We’ll meet at the parking lot near the playground on Lake Park Road.
When: 1 pm, Sunday January 13.
How far: Up to 12 miles, depending on trail conditions and who wants to do what.
Who: Club members are free, non-members $5
How cold: Temperature cutoff is -10 at 10 AM, airport weather. If it’s close, we’ll go.
Who’s in charge: The dogs, of course, but if you have questions please contact Sara Tabbert at 479 0456 or stabbert@hotmail.com.
These trails are wide and fairly flat so it’s a good place for running multi-dog teams. No loose dogs, please.
It can be cold waiting around at Chena Lakes, so we’ll leave promptly at 1.
