Trail Tour Sunday Feb 7, note different time

February 3, 2016 by stabbert

Sunday, February 7th, I will be leading a trail tour at the new Tanana Lakes Recreation Area.  We will meet and leave at 11:00 AM. (To accommodate Superbowl fans.) To get there, drive down South Cushman to the park entrance, which is right past Northland Wood.  You will immediately see a turn to the right.  Don’t take this!  Instead continue on to the trailhead parking.  We meet where the Flicker and Chickadee trails intersect.  If you end up at the rifle range, you went too far.  I can’t do attachments here, but you can get to the map by first visiting the trails section on the ASPA website, then you will get to the Fairbanks North Star Borough website.  Click on Borough Functions, then Parks and Pools and you will see Tanana Lakes Recreation Area, where you will find the map.  The trail we will be doing is about 5 km in length.

So, come join us, have fun, and get some exercise before the Superbowl sit.  Any questions, you can reach me at lstuby@gci.net. Temperature cutoff is -10 at the airport at 9:30 AM.
