Trail Tour Sunday January 31

January 27, 2016 by stabbert

Let’s take advantage of the warm weather in the forecast, and the fact that the ski trail is in on the Chena River! Park in the parking lot between the river and the Immaculate Conception church downtown and we will make our way down onto the ice at 1 pm sharp. This will be a good opportunity for anybody to run as many or as few dogs as they want. The Sonot trail ends about six miles upriver but I am sure there is still a skiable route beyond if more distance is desired. (This will be an out and back so you can do as much or as little as you want.) We will certainly encounter all manner of other trail users. Temperature cutoff is -10 at the airport at 11 am. There is often gravel under the bridges downtown so don’t bring your nice skis. Contact Sara at stabbert@hotmail.com if you have any questions.
