Trail tour Sunday January 24

January 21, 2016 by stabbert

Come explore the excellent trails near Goldstream Sports. Meet in the parking lot of Goldstream Sports – we will take off from there at 1:00 PM sharp and head out across Anne’s fields to access the trails near the RR tracks. No loose dogs, but skiers without dogs are welcome. Trail-tour length approximately 4 to 5 miles, with options to do additional distance.

Although overall not particularly steep or challenging, many of these trails have limited visibility and are heavily used by fat-tire cyclists, moose and other recreational users. They are narrow in places & the first 1/4 to 1/2 mile is challenging. This is a tour best suited for one dog, and for those with some skijoring experience on trails other than the wide, groomed flat ones of Creamers.

Trail tours are free for members; $5 for non-members. These trails are low-lying, so the temperature cut-off for this trail tour is -5F at the airport at 11:00 AM day-of. Check hotline if unsure.
